Who wants to look like from an airplane, from far above, almost vertically, to seemingly tiny villages ... He can a. either get on a plane or b. drive into the Colca Valley!<\/p>\n

The Colca Canyon is the second deepest gorge in the world and due to its steepness offers just such sights. Of course, you do not live at the very top of the mountain, but "only" on one third of the total height, because there the villages are well developed with a road.<\/p>\n

But if you go from there, once in the valley and then out again (what we have done, but spread over two days), are still so 1100 meters difference in altitude on a short distance ... And you know thanks to the legs then, what one has done.<\/p>\n

What else? After Marieke had divided the domestic avifauna into normal pigeons as well as mini and micro-pigeons, we have finally broadened our horizons in Colca Canyon.
\nWe were able to watch hummingbirds and - on the other side of the scale - condors! Andean condors have up to three meters wingspan and a few specimens that came close, we have seen. Totally aesthetic and impressive birds. Ultimately, the parts are vultures, but "Kondor" just sounds better ?<\/p>\n

Pictures can hardly reproduce the fantastic scenery, you can still see a few attempts here. And on the subject of Kondor rather something like evidence photos. Of course, smartphone cameras are not made for that ....<\/p>\n
