Yes, the madness. Four days by jeep over sand and stone through Bolivia's southwest! The result: pictures, pictures, pictures (and a most impressed Matthias). This time a lot more pictures than usual, but there was also a lot to watch (and to freeze up there: at night up to -15 degrees ... and heaters are not here!)!
What was to be seen (at least chronologically and according to the photo sequence):
- Giant dödel directly at Tupiza (and does not tell me that only I see that)
- more crazy rocks "El Sillar"
- the first record after only one hour (tire change is a constant additional discipline on such a tour)
- even more crazy rocks of the "Ciudad del elcanto"
- the exciting ruins of San Antonio de Lipez
- the most beautiful light in the world at sunset on the lagoon Morijon (thanks to my fantastic models and the moon)
- timeless beautiful wall decorations-annual calendar
- a bath in the worst sub-zero temperatures in hot springs (both going in and out was very painful)
- the Laguna Verde with the chic volcano Licanbur right on the Chilean border
- the desert foxes Ommel, Lommel and Gommel (at 4300 meters!)
- a bubbling and smoking geyser field (which is really too hot for bathing)
- Flamingos 2342 to 4623 in the Laguna Colorada
- friendly llamas everywhere
- another incredible twilight and a dream in pastel (nothing drawn, no filters as always!)
- the sensational Laguna Negra in the heart of the Rock Valley (Rocas Valley)
- and generally when driving around: deserts, mountains, volcanoes of all sorts, of all colors, of all shapes
The hundreds of kilometers without a meter of asphalt I enjoyed together with Jerome and Florence and Deborah ... All very different, but super social! Plus our top driver Wilbur and our cook Paula. Good troupe! The time just flew by!
By the way: The last 20 hours of the road trip, which took place on, in and above the Salar de Uyuni, get a blog post for a good reason!
