Houtong in northeastern Taiwan is THE cat village.
Who thinks now, that I could intentionally have posted the first "bouncer" in my blog ... ... the / maybe thinks correctly. Who knows ?
But: sweet!
Right next to Houtong, also in the northeast: Fulong Beach, where I happened to meet the first Sand Sculpture Festival of my life.
And as a bonus photo below: a sign (for the Caoling Historic Trail ... also in the northeast), how to behave when encountering tiger head bees. After reading the book, you can walk relaxed. My favorite points are 4 and 5: Run for your life and throw yourself into the water. But only if you can dive long and far!
